So, we had some snow in Chicago this past weekend. St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery is located on Chicago's North side, at Clark Street and Lawrence Avenue, four blocks north of the famous Graceland cemetery. It was dedicated in 1863 to serve the German Catholic community.
When I turned the southeast corner of the cemetery, this tree spoke to me and I was in awe of its powerful stance while surrounded by the cold crosses. If you look to the center of the image you will see where lightning has recently struck the tree, but it continues to go on living among the departed.
